See the relevant information below.  We collect information to enable the features of the website, to provide you with services on this website.  We collect data to help us understand where our customers are coming from, for marketing and make staying here safer and to be able to use 3rd party services which insist on collecting certain information to provide a service.  By using the website, our checkout processes etc.. you are giving consent for us to do so.  Astro Dog does not sell or redistribute your information.  We are not interested in, nor do we intend to personally identify any visitors to our site.

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. 5. Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.  You are solely responsible for the content of information you publish, including pictures.

6. Contact forms

We keep contact form submissions indefinitely for customer service and legal purposes, but we do not use the information submitted through them for marketing purposes.

We share information with third parties who help us provide our orders and store services to you.  Site data is stored in LA, in the United States of America with  This means your data may be unintentionally and unbeknownst to us able to be accessed under the terms of the United States of America and their laws.  Additionally, we at times may need to grant developers that are performing technical services for us temporary access as administrators.  Administrators have access to our website and its data when they perform technical updates.

10. How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.  All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

We will only retain data for one year (or less) on our website.   This does not affect your warranties, etc. and your invoice will continue to serve as proof of purchase.

When you use this site several actions (e.g. commenting) trigger the dispatch of emails. They contain information about you associated with your email address. Which data are part of these emails depends on the action performed. These emails are stored and accessible to the site management as log.

Where we send your data – This site is part of a network of sites that protect against distributed brute force attacks. 16.5 Source: WP Smush

Note: Smush does not interact with you. The only input option Smush has is to a newsletter subscription for site admins only. If you would like to notify your users of this in your privacy policy, you can use the information below.  Smush sends images to the WPMU DEV servers to optimise them for web use. This includes the transfer of EXIF data. The EXIF data will either be stripped or returned as it is. It is not stored on the WPMU DEV servers.  Smush uses the Stackpath Content Delivery Network (CDN). Stackpath may store web log information of site visitors, including IPs, UA, referrer, Location and ISP info of site visitors for 7 days. Files and images served by the CDN may be stored and served from countries other than your own. Stackpath’s privacy policy can be found here.  Smush uses a third-party email service (Drip) to send informational emails to the site administrator. The administrator’s email address is sent to Drip and a cookie is set by the service. Only administrator information is collected by Drip.

This site utilises caching in order to facilitate a faster response time and better user experience. Caching potentially stores a duplicate copy of every web page that is on display on this site. All cache files are temporary, and are never accessed by any third party, except as necessary to obtain technical support from the cache plugin vendor. Cache files expire on a schedule set by the site administrator, but may easily be purged by the admin before their natural expiration, if necessary.
