What should I expect?
The Kson CA80 is an 80mm, f/5 400mm aperture refractor that offers great views of bright deep space objects such as M42, the constellations and lunar views with a maximum magnification of 160x. Although it is the introductory scope in the range, with a keen eye and dark skies, you can see nice details on the planets, the moon and you may even some details of distant quasars. On Saturn, you should be able to see the disc and rings with high power, globular star clusters (they will be faint). The key advantage of this over the next model, is that it takes up very little room, is highly portable and very light weight. Unlike the CE102, it does not need to be collimated as it is a refractor. An 80mm refractor shows about as much as a 102mm reflector again, due to its inherent design strengths.
