Wrap one around the telescope tube near the optics and secure it there with its integrated Velcro/elastic strap. A gentle heat is then transferred to the optics until the temperature is slightly warmer than the dew point. Please check the circumference of your optic first to ensure this will provide a good fit.

Lynx Astro 40cm Dew Heater Strap for 4″ Telescopes with USB Connector

Robust design using modern materials for high performance and long life!

Designed for use with 4″/102mm Telescopes, this 5V USB Powered Dew Heater Strap is made in the UK to the same high standards as the 12v versions.

Each Strap is supplied with a 2m Silicon covered USB Power Cable with a USB Type A Connector.

The heating element is resistance wire covered with durable rubber. Every strap features a  2cm wide heating element which combined with its protective cover gives a 4cm wide Strap.

The USB Heater Strap can be powered from 5V USB Power Sources such as a 5V Power Bank or from Telescope Mounts that have built in USB Power/Ports.

PLEASE NOTE: We do not recommend powering USB Dew Heater Straps from any computer’s USB Port (Including Astronomy Computers like the ASIAIR).  Doing so could result in too much power draw, potentially damaging the Port or causing it to shut down.
