This telescope does exactly what it says – it is a beginners astronomical telescope. Being a refractor it is excellent for daytime use to look at and examine distant objects. I bought this for my 9 year old grand-daughter and she is absolutely ‘over the moon’ with it. So far she has explored the moon and Jupiter with its moons. From a good vantage point to the south of Glasgow she has scanned the city and the snow capped highlands far beyond to the north. What more can I say – excellent, easy to use and good value for money – a perfect beginners telescope!” – Gerald

This is the first scope that i bought and my plan was to watch whales from the coast, and i have to say the image is cyrstal clear, the mount also is very sturdy and easily moved around, from what i can gather most scope’s are sold with the cheepest eye pieces and most ppl get there own, well if whales are your thing you won’t need to change these, the 25mm wide angle is perfect, i decided to try a bit of stargazing as i had the scope and i was looking at a planet (don’t know which 1) ill assume Jupiter and i could actually see the rings around it, i attached the barrow lens thats included to the eye piece that makes the eye piece 3 times stronger, class, don’t use the barrow lens when trying to see whales as its to strong you won’t be able to focas, am really impressed with this, im going to do some evening classes now in Astronomy and start learning about the sky also, im gonna get the better eye pieces to see for myself the difference, they’ve gotten good review’s, id highly recommened this scope, the only thing the finders scope that comes with it is no good, that part actually even feels cheap, but with the 25mm wide angel eye piece its not even needed!” – Colin
